Convicted for rape, Ram Rahim received parole, arrives Gurugram to meet mother

Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is lodged in Sunaria Jail in Rohtak in connection with sexual exploitation and murder, has been granted parole. However, Gurmeet Ram Rahim has got a 48-hour Custody parole.

Parole has been granted to Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is lodged in Sunaria Jail in Rohtak in connection with sexual exploitation and murder. It was six o’ clock in the morning when Gurmeet was taken out of the jail, as per jail administration. However, Gurmeet Ram Rahim has got a 48-hour Custody Parole. Earlier, his lawyers have applied for parole several times but due to the reasons of security it has been rejected every time. 

Arrived at Gurugram to meet mother

Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been taken to Gurugram amidst a tight security. According to sources, Ram Rahim has visited to meet his mother. Her treatment is going on in Medanta Hospital and he will be residing at a farm house in Manesar.

6 days ago, health deteriorated

On May 17, counsel for Ram Rahim had applied for parole to Sunaria Jail Superintendent Sunil Sangwan. At the same time, his sudden health deteriorated 6 days ago. After which he was shifted to PGI Rohtak. After his investigation by the Medical Board, he was sent back to jail. Now when the mother was asked for parole due to illness, her application was approved.

One day parole

He has already been on a one day parole an year ago, the parole was confidential in manner. His mother was admitted to Medanta Hospital when he has been granted the parole.

Sentenced to life imprisonment

Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been accused of molestation of two Sadhvis. He is behind bars since 25 August 2017. He has been sentenced to 20 years of life imprisonment for raping two sadhvis. He has also been sentenced for murdering a journalist.
