CM Yogi issues instructions,Kanwar Yatra will start from July 25

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given important instructions regarding the Kanwar Yatra during Covid.

CM Yogi has issued instructions to the devotees for Jalabhishek in Uttarakhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi has said that the Covid protocol is mandatory to be followed during the Kanwar Yatra. He has talked about finishing the yatra by establishing dialogue with the neighboring states of Uttarakhand and Bihar.

From July 25 this year, the Kanwar Yatra of Shiva devotees is set to start. The Yogi government makes special arrangements for the Kanwariyas every year. This year, due to pandemic, water, rest facilities and flowers will be showered from the helicopter to welcome them. 

Earlier, it has been announced that Kanwar Yatra will be banned in Uttarakhand. Recently, the DGP of Uttarakhand held a meeting with the officials of eight states. He said that "there is a ban on travel, so whoever comes here can be quarantined for 14 days. Travel will also be restricted for local people."

In the year 2019, about 3 crore Kanwarias visited Uttarakhand. In this, the number of Kanwariyas of Uttar Pradesh was 27 percent. Actually, lakhs of Kanwariyas come from other states during the Kanwar Yatra. From where they take Gangajal and perform Jalabhishek on Shivratri in the pagodas of their respective areas.
