Corona continues
to wreak havoc. There are 720 million people in the world. Out of which, 5.04
crore people were cured but 16.11 lakh people had died. Meanwhile, the cold is
also in full gear with snowfall and fog
in various parts of the country. The problem of air pollution, has become a new
challenge in Corona and winter.
Air pollution is
affecting the health of children the most. According to WHO reports, around 93%
of children under the age of 15 in the world are forced to breathe in polluted
air. One in 10 children under the age of 5 is dying due to air pollution.
Children are
twice as likely at a risk than adults
Children are at the highest risk of health due to out of house activities. Dr. Uma Kumar of Bhopal AIIMS said that, the risk of air pollution in children is twice as high as that of adult. And not just young kids, It is also important to keep infants safe while they are still in their mother’s womb.
It is necessary to take care of kids during air pollution. Take care of them and prevent them from going on any activities outdoor. If and when sending them out, one must do an air quality check atleast once. Also make sure that the child has a mask.
Pregnant women
avoid air pollution
Experts say that pregnant women need to be more careful and alert and should avoid smoking. This has a bad effect on the unborn fetus. Whatever the mother consumes, it is fed to the child. Breathing toxic air can have a bad effect on the child. It even carries the risk of pre-mature delivery.
Arrange for
pure air in the living area
According to
experts, to keep air pure and healthy in the living area, you need to keep a
clean enviornment around your house. For this, invest in an air purifying or plant
air purifying in the home garden. Keep the ventilation flowing by keeping the
doors and windows open in the morning and evening. Bringing about some changes
in your diet can also prevent diseases caused by air pollution.
