Due to this, State-run Bank of Baroda has recently announced the introduction of banking services on the messaging platform WhatsApp. The bank's executive director AK Khurana said this through a release issued on Monday, "Given the prominence of social media, it is our belief that through Tsapp Banking our customers will be facilitated to meet their banking needs."

The major benefit through the WhatsApp service will be the 24X7 availability of banking services, there will be no need for any customer to download any new application, besides easy access and convenience. This feature will work on both Android and iPhone and the customer will not have to pay any additional service charges for this feature.

Here's how the Bank of Baroda WhatsApp service will work:

1. WhatsApp banking service of Bank Of Baroda  is available to customers and non-customers of the bank.

2. Customers can even save the bank's WhatsApp Business Account Number 8433 888 777 in their contact list.

3. You can then send "HI" to this number and start a conversation.

4. Bank of Baroda is offering services like balance inquiry, mini statement, check status check, check book request and blocking debit card on messaging app.

5. Vendor will also provide information about products and services through WhatsApp among others.

6. Banking services are available 24x7 through the messaging platform, with no additional application download requirements.

7. Even non-customers can use this platform to know about the bank's products, services, offers, ATMs and branch location.
