Air India’s Delhi-London flight returns to Delhi after a passenger hits cabin crew

An Air India’s Delhi-London flight on Monday returned to Delhi after a passenger misbehaved with the cabin crew mid-air.

An Air India’s Delhi-London flight on Monday returned to Delhi after a passenger misbehaved with the cabin crew mid-air. The male passenger reportedly had pulled the hair of a female cabin crew 15 minutes after the flight took off. The airline had filed a complaint with the Delhi Airport Police against the unruly passenger and handed him over to the police. The flight took off from Delhi at 6.35 am and the incident happened after some time which led the flight to return back to Delhi again.

Air India stated that “Air India flight Al 111 scheduled to operate Delhi-London Heathrow on April 10, 2023 returned to Delhi shortly after departure due to the serious unruly behavior of a passenger on board. Not heeding to verbal and written warnings, the passenger continued with unruly behavior including causing physical harm to two of the cabin crew members. The pilot in command decided to return to Delhi and the passenger was handed over to the security personnel upon landing.”

The Air India spokesperson stated that it has provided all possible support to the crew members who were affected and that the flight has been rescheduled to depart for London in the afternoon.

Several cases of such misbehavior is being reported these days and proper rules need to be made.
