A Maharashtrian 16 years old girl, Srushti Sudhir Jagtap made a new Guinness World Record by doing continuous dance for 127 hours. She started on the morning of May 29 in the auditorium of her college, and she continued dancing till the afternoon of June 3,thus breaking the record. Then she slept for a whole day. This is an incredible achievement. Her college auditorium was fully packed with supporters.
Jjagtap stated that the last day was the hardest on her body as she said, “all my body parts felt frozen and in pain. But mentally I was focused towards my goal.:”;
She told due to strong practice, she was familiar with all the changes in her mind and body, so she was calm and composed till end.

Jagtap performed Kathak, as she “wanted to promote Indian culture and represent India through dance. “She was also trained in yoga nidra under her grandfather, that gave her “control over sleep” as it helps to heal and restore the body during deep sleep.
She used to fill four hours of meditation, six hours of dance practice, and three hours of other exercises, leaving only five hours of sleep at night from 10 pm to 3 am. She credits her parents, without whose support, she wouldn’t have reached the end.
