The documentary ‘Death in Bollywood’, on the life of the late actress Jia Khan, was recently released in the UK. In the second episode of this documentary on BBC 2, Jia’s sister Karishma has accused director Sajid Khan of sexual harassment of the actress. According to Karishma, after this abuse with her, Jia came home crying. Not only this, according to Karishma, Sajid also tried to take advantage of them.
In a clip from the documentary, Karishma says, “The rehearsal was going on. She (Jia) was reading the script and he (Sajid Khan) asked her to take off the top and bra. She couldn’t understand what to do.” She said that the film has not even started and all this is happening. She came home and cried a lot.
Many Women have accused Sajid Khan of Sexual Harassment
In 2018, many women accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment when the #Me Too campaign took off in India. These included actresses Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Ahana Kumra, Mandana Karimi, model Paula and a journalist. Sajid was dropped from directing the fourth film of the ‘Housefull’ franchise following the allegations
Karishma further added, “She said- ‘I have an agreement and if I leave the film, they will file a case against me and defame me. But if I do the film, I will have sexual harassment. It is a situation of missing something.’ is.’ So he did that film.”
Bollywood industry has been known for sexual harrasement cases since it’s inception. Recently in an interview with the BBC, late actress Jia Khan’s sister Karishma
