In 2008, on this day there was a terrorist attack on the country's financial capital Mumbai, which shook everyone. On 26 November, 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists had stunned Mumbai by bomb blasts and firing and hostage was taken by the terrorists for about sixty hours.
Today 13 years have been completed since this dreadful terrorist attack has happened. It was the dark day in the history of India. More than 160 people were killed in that attack and more than 300 people were injured in it.
The History
The terrorists entered Mumbai from Karachi by boat. Four Indians were also on board, who were eliminated as soon as they reached the shore. Marathi-speaking fishermen also suspected these people and the police were also informed about this, but the police of the area did not pay much attention to this matter.
After this all the terrorists were divided into two groups. Two of these terrorists targeted the Leopold Cafe located in Colaba, South Mumbai. The same two terrorists had left for Nariman House, the other two terrorists towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Hotel Trident Oberoi and Taj Hotel.
At around 9.30am, there was news of firing again at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai. In the main hall of the railway station, two attackers again entered there and started firing indiscriminately. One of them has been hanged.
It took three days to finish the operation of Hotel Oberoi. This terrorist attack ended on 28 November and in the evening Nariman House was also evacuated. Apart from this, the encounter at Taj Hotel ended on the morning of 29 November. In this 9 terrorists were killed while one terrorist was caught alive.
