20 year old student urinates in a Delhi- Bound American Airlines plane

A 20 year old student in a New York- New Delhi American Airlines flight was detained for allegedly urinating on a fellow male passenger who was a US citizen and for misbehaving with the staff stated by the police.

A 20 year old student in a New York- New Delhi American Airlines flight was detained for allegedly urinating on a fellow male passenger who was a US citizen and for misbehaving with the staff stated by the police. 

The 14 hour flight took off from New York at 9.16 pm and the incident took place around 1-2 am on Saturday. The accused over here is a student named Aryan Vohra studying in US and a resident of Defence colony.

Vohra was taken into custody as the flight landed and Airline staff encouraged the victim to file a complaint and informed the Air Traffic Control at IGI airport and CISF officials. American Airlines issued a statement stating that Vohra was “heavily intoxicated” and did not adhere to crew instructions. “ he was repeatedly arguing with the operating crew, was not willing to be seated and was continuously endangering safety of crew and aircraft and after disturbing the safety of fellow passengers, finally urinating on pax seated on 15G,” Airline officials also stated they won’t allow him in the future to fly with them.

A source at the airport stated that the male victim was not keen on reporting the matter to the police after the student apologized as it might hinder his career but the airlines took it seriously and reported it to the Air Traffic Control at the IGI airport, the crew then informed the pilot who alerted the CISF personnel who handed over the accused to the Delhi Police.

According to the Civil Aviation Rules, if a passenger is found guilty of unruly behavior, besides action under criminal law, he will be banned from flying for a particular time period based on the level of the offence.
